26th November 2008 - Updated Hajj statistics released (SPA)
Almadinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, 26/11/2008
The number of pilgrims departing from Almadinah Al-Munawarah for Makkah to perform this year's Hajj reached 500,000 on Wednesday as more than 700,000 have visited the holy city of the prophet (peace be upon him), it was reported today.
An official statistical report said 63 air flights have arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International airport today carrying more than 14,000 pilgrims while nearly 157 buses arrive in Madinah on daily bases with an increase of more than 400% in the departing buses rate from Al-Madinah.
