28th November 2008 - 2-story tents planned in Mina (SG)

Two-story tents are to be built on the slopes of the northern hills in Mina to increase Mina's accommodation capacity to more than 3 million pilgrims, according to Dr. Habeeb Zain Al-Abdeen, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs. The tents will be erected on the hills as opposed to in the valley due to the valley's limited area.
Work on the planned monorail train link between the holy sites will begin once it has been tendered to one of the companies who have provided quotations.
