3rd July 2009 - Haj policy transparent: Pakistan official (SG)

Agha Sarwar Raza Qazilbash, Secretary of Pakistan's Ministry of Religious Affairs and Hajj, said the Pakistani government has established a transparent Hajj policy, adding that it has clear instructions about Hajj group organisers. The policy specifies that any agent who contravenes the regulations will be suspended and that Hajj agents will be thoroughly vetted by security agents. Qazilbash also said that the ministry has put great efforts into the training of pilgrims.
