7th November 2009 - Civil Defence in Madinah implements Hajj season plan (SPA)

The Directorate of Civil Defense in Madinah region has started implementation of its plan for this year's Hajj season.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Director-General of Civil Defense in Madinah Region Major General Saleh bin Salem Al-Mahous has pointed out that the plan focused on developing fixed centers in the Central Area surrounding the Prophet"s Mosque and the cities of pilgrims by sea and land in addition to operating seven seasonal centers distributed on the highways leading to Madinah.
He added that along side each center, there is an emergency department, noting that these centers are in addition to the major centers working throughout the year consisting of five internal centers and three external centers associated with 20 units comprising 38 fire and rescue brigades distributed in neighborhoods of Madinah.
