Islamic Jurisprudence Council deplores aggression against four French nationals

Jeddah, 3 March 07

The Islamic Jurisprudence Council has expressed anxiety over the heinous aggression against four French nationals near the Holy city of Madinah while some of them were planning to perform Umrah (minor Hajj).

A statement issued by Dr Al-Habib Balkhoja, the Council's Secretary General, said the culprits have nothing to do with the human values and religious principles, and their crime runs counter to the teachings of Islam.

The statement noted that the Saudi security authorities are vigilant and capable of efficiently dealing with these criminals.
