Vaccinations mandatory for issuance of Haj visas (AN)
Arab News
Saudi Arabian missions abroad have been instructed to enforce the Kingdom's health regulations for Hajj without exception. Visas will be issued only if applicants can present valid vaccination certificates for diseases (e.g. meningitis, polio and yellow fever) endemic in the countries from which the pilgrims come.
Amongst a number of other health and safety measures, the Ministry of Health urges pilgrims to have themselves inoculated against seasonal diseases such as influenza.
