Belief in the Prophets of God

Muslims believe that God has sent prophets to humanity throughout human history to communicate His Message. God has chosen these people, the Prophets (peace be upon them all), to tell mankind of the oneness of God and to provide moral guidance for men and women on how to behave within society.

Amongst those recognised as Prophets by Muslims are Ibrahim (Abraham), (Musa) Moses, Dawud (David) and 'Isa (Jesus), peace be upon them all. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was God's last and final messenger to whom the word of God was given in the verses of the Holy Qur'an.
