Jebel Omar Project
The Jebel Omar project mainly aims to provide and improve services for visitors to the Haram. The project will provide accommodation to 35,500 people. It also includes construction of a covered prayer ground to absorb 65,000 people provided with all services and facilities such as ablution areas and toilets besides securing parking lots for 9,250 vehicles. Additionally, it has a chain of integrated modern malls and shopping centres that have been designed according to the latest international specifications. It includes 4,400 commercial units each covering an area of 50 to 100 square metres. It also provides modern internal streets, public squares, pedestrian tunnels and escalators for the easy movement of pilgrims to and from the Holy Mosque.
