Modernizing the Ministry's Computer Network

The Ministry has invested in the establishment of a computer network and software for improving the services provided to pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque. The Ministry will seek to develop this network and expand its base and to expand computer applications in the Ministry.

The Ministry is involved in the linkage of its information network with the information network of the government authorities that are involved in the provision of services to pilgrims (local and international), the Umrah agencies, such as the General Passport Department, and the private establishments that serve pilgrims, in order to avoid duplication, to dispense with similar routine procedures, and to organize the utilization of available data.

In its stipulations for the performance by the private sector of provision of services to pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, the Ministry will also adopt the most up-to-date communication techniques.
