Crown Prince Receives Hajj Minister And Officials

Makkah, 1 November, 2005

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General received here today the Minister of Hajj, Dr. Fouad bin Abdulsalam Al-Farsy, Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Hajj and Heads of the National Guides Establishments and the General Cars Syndicate.

The Crown Prince expressed his appreciation of the efforts being exerted by the Minister of Hajj and officials for the service of religion and pilgrims, noting that the Kingdom was honored by Almighty Allah to serve pilgrims.

He noted that the Government, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, has been exerting all efforts for the pilgrims' comfort and that the Kingdom has been performing this duty since the era of the late King Abdulaziz. "One of our main fundamentals is to take interest in Muslims", he said.

The Crown Prince urged all on exerting more efforts, coordination and fruitful cooperation to receive millions of pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.

On his part, Dr. Al-Farsy congratulated all on the occasion of the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

He noted that the Saudi society adheres to the implementation of tolerant Islam within the framework of moderation and the achievement of progress in all vital fields, including pilgrims and Hajj affairs.

Dr. Al-Farsy stressed that the Ministry and all national sectors have pledged to exert maximum efforts in the service of pilgrims.

Then, they all had a breaking-fast meal at the Crown Prince's banquet.
