Prince Turki Bin Sultan hails rising global interest in coverage of Hajj

Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdul-aziz, the Assistant Information and Culture Minister hailed the rising global interest in the coverage of Hajj rituals and said more than 180 international, Arab and local print, broadcast and telecast media organs are covering this year's Hajj.

Prince Turki said that all requirements for the excellent coverage of Hajj rituals had been made available for all mass media organs such as CNN, Reuters, Associated Press (AP), Agence France Press (AFP), the European Agency, the Spanish News Agency, Russian TV, the Canadian TV, Sahara Indian TV, Islam-British Channel, D-Turkish Channel, Net-Wave South-African Channel, Four of the BBC's Channels, International France Radio, China Radio, the National American Radio and a number of other local, Arab and international radios and press agencies in addition to several outstanding professional photographers.

Prince Turki also said that all media centers had been equipped with modern technological devices and computers in addition to choosing well-studied locations in order to telecast pilgrims' movements at the holy sites. He added that the Information and Culture Ministry has been mobilizing all its resources to serve mass media organs in the most proper manner.
