New Hajj law in a month

Makkah, 21 Jan 06

A new Hajj law will be promulgated a month after it is endorsed by the Council of Ministers.

Minister of Hajj Dr. Fouad Bin Abdul-salam Al-Farsy told "Al-Riyadh" Arabic language newspaper that the new law would elaborately define the rights of the pilgrims and the obligations of the Hajj establishments toward the Guests of Allah.

He assured the pilgrims that the new law fully preserves their rights as it has fixed all the loopholes in the previous law. The new law will be strictly applied to all the companies involved in the Hajj service.

Under the new law all the present licenses granted to the Hajj and Umrah establishments will be revoked and their services will be reviewed.
