Civilizations and Cultures Symposium concluded

The International Symposium entitled ''Humanitarian Civilizations and Cultures, from Dialogue to Alliance'' held by Islamic, Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) concluded its sessions here today.

The symposium was attended by Saudi Minister of Hajj Dr. Fouad Abdulsalam Al-Farsy along with other attendants.

In the Tunisia Declaration, the participants emphasized the necessity for continual work to achieve the objectives of dialogue among civilizations and for intensification of the efforts of the world community to spread the values of dialogue, peace and understanding which should be distanced from extremism and terrorism.

They stressed that Islamic civilization is part of human civilization and it is based on moderation, peaceful coexistence and belief in joint values.

The symposium expressed its concern over offensive and malicious campaigns against Islam, its civilization, culture, Muslims, the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

The participants emphasized the importance of uniting all efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms, to eradicate it and dry up its financial sources.
