Conference on Makkah-Madinah Train Project Opens Tomorrow
On behalf of Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah region, Prince Misha’al bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah, will open here on Tuesday an international conference on the project of Makkah-Madinah train.
Representatives of more than 300 local and international companies in addition to a number of governmental authorities including Hajj ministry, the Institute of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques for Hajj Research and Jeddah municipality, will participate in the conference.
The project of Makkah-Madinah train is one of the important elements of the program of expanding the railways network, approved by the Supreme Economic Council.
Meanwhile, Prince Misha’al bin Majed met here on Sunday president of the Saudi Arabian Railways Organization (SRO) Eng Khalid al-Yahya, who briefed him on the project of the railways which will be implemented from Makkah to Madinah via Jeddah.
