Prince Naif emphasises Kingdom's care for pilgrims

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, received here yesterday Princes, Muslim scholars, ministers, commanders of the Security Sectors, senior civil and military officials of the Interior Ministry, as well as notables and citizens of Makkah Region, who came to congratulate him on the occasion of Eid-Al-Fitr.

The meeting was attended by Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Interior Minister, Prince Mishal Bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Interior Minister for Security Affairs, and other senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Naif highlighted the facilities and services extended by the state to Umrah (Minor) Hajj Performers and visitors to the Holy Places. He noted that the number of Umrah Performers this year had exceeded three million. He praised the efforts exerted by the security men to enable the Umrah performers to perform their rituals in comfort and ease.

He confirmed the determination of the security men to prevent all forms of crimes. 'Thanks to Almighty God, and thanks to the wise directives of our leadership and the support and solidarity of the citizens for their leadership, we have been able to overcome all difficulties and aborts plots hatched against this beloved country', he said, while reiterating the adherence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Holy Quran and Sunnah (the Prophet's Teachings). 'The citizen is the first security man, and all citizens are security men and the vice versa', he added.

Prince Naif noted that Saudi Arabia is one of the best countries in the world in terms of stability, economic growth, and social security.
