Vehicles General Union provides enough transportation for Hajj

The Vehicles General Union has provided 15,000 vehicles to transport more than 1,447,000 pilgrims for the forthcoming Hajj season, it was reported here today.

In a statement, the Organization said out of this number, 545 vehicles which cost SR 225 million have recently joined the Hajj transportation fleet.

The Union's website on the internet will provide information on the Hajj Transportation Plan aiming to drastically cut the procedural measures and transfer them into electronic and monitor the movements of more than 485 pilgrims coming from Turkey and South East Asian countries between Makkah and the Sacred Places on the outskirts of the Holy City of Makkah.

A maintenance center, which cost SR 240,000, was installed to provide repair services to damaged or crippled vehicles during Hajj, the statement said.
