Board of Iranian Pilgrims Body holds meeting

The Board of Directors of the General 'Mutawafeen' Establishment of Iranian pilgrims, held a meeting yesterday in Makkah under the chairmanship of the President of its Governing Council, Dr. Talal Bin Saleh Qutb and in the presence of all members of the Council.

Following the meeting, Dr. Qutb noted that this meeting is a continuation of the Council's earlier meetings, which are aimed at discussing all matters related to the provision of better services for the pilgrims who are served by the Establishment as well as reviewing its arrangements and preparations to ensure comfort and safety for them.

He said the Establishment plan for this year's Hajj focuses on the importance of commitment to the process of pilgrims' movement to pelt pebbles at ''Jamarat'' and avoid the exodus from camps in conformity with deadlines and timetables.

"The plan concentrates on raising awareness and benefiting from programs and reports of past Hajj seasons to overcome shortcomings. It also recommends a full human recruitment potential mechanism in Makkah and the holy places," he added.

Meanwhile, the Board also held a meeting with the Ministry of Hajj Oversight Committee to discuss in detail provisions of facilities and the expenditure of funds for the service and the comfort of pilgrims.
