Sana’a, 7 December 06

The Yemeni Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Hammoud Abbad, who is also the head of the Yemen Hajj mission said Thursday that the ministry completed all arrangements for the organization of the pilgrimage season this year to serve the Yemeni pilgrims estimated to be 24,000.

The Yemeni officials facilitate Hajj rituals this year by assigning a supervisor for every 50 pilgrims, he said.

In a statement published today, Abbad said there has been an integrated coordination with the concerned authorities of Hajj affairs in Saudi Arabia for providing means of transportation between the holy lands and making arrangements for all pilgrims to ensure their safe movements as well as selecting adequate housing for them near the Holy Mosque in Makkah.

He also pointed out that the pilgrims leaving to the Holy Lands via the land route will begin their journey later today.
