More than 1.6 million pilgrims arrive in Kingdom for Hajj

The number of pilgrims who came to perform Hajj this year until Monday is estimated to be 1,601,545 pilgrims.

All these pilgrims came through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah, Jeddah Islamic Port, and a number of land routes.

These figures were published in a daily report produced by the Central Hajj Committee in Makkah.

As regards the health status of the pilgrims, the report said the number of cases which entered emergency facilities in Makkah accounted for 98,168 cases.

There have been no cases of sun-strokes. The number of deaths due to heart diseases, arteriosclerosis and old age and some other medical complications is reported to be 219.

The volume of Zam Zam water consumed at the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah is recorded as 12,192,757 liters.
