Updating Directory Map for Makkah and Holy Places

The first directory map for Makkah and the Holy Places has been updated for the service of the pilgrims.

The map, which is the first of its kind, clarifies the roads and lanes leading to the Holy Mosque of Makkah and the Holy Places in a scientific manner, and it makes it possible for the pilgrims to reach their destinations easily.

Eng. Mohammed ali Faresi, the supervisor of the Map Project, said the map aims at the service of more than two million pilgrims who come to the Holy Places from different nationalities.

He pointed out that more than 500,000 maps, which include the location of Makkah, notably the Haram area, Mina and Arafat, have been printed.

The map includes names of the major roads and streets, the pedestrian lanes, the borders of the holy places, the parking lots, the governmental departments, the health centers, hospitals, hotels and banking services in addition to the venue of the Hajj Ministry, the perambulation establishments for the Turkish pilgrims and Muslims of America and Australia, pilgrims of South Asia, Iran, the Arab countries, the GCC member states, Africa, as well as the pilgrims service centers and important public utilities like the Civil Defense, the Police and the Traffic.
