Northern Borders, Saudi Arabia, 6 January 07

All concerned governmental authorities and security organs at Halat-Ammar, exit point in the Kingdom's northern borders, have been doing their best to provide pilgrims with all possible services and facilities under the supervision and directives of Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Tabuk Region.

Ali al-Harbi, the Director of the Administration of Haj and Umrah (minor hajj) in Tabuk Region, said tens of thousands of pilgrims have so far left Saudi Arabia via the exit point of Halat-Ammar.

He noted that the departing pilgrims were provided with copies of the Holy Quran, printed by Madinah-based King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex.

Al-Harbi said Halat-Ammar received during this year more than 300,000 pilgrims, umrah performers or visitors.
