Saudi, UN officials review humanitarian services
Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Society received here today the U.N. Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Antonio Guterres who is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual concern notably issues related to joint humanitarian works.
For his part, Prince Faisal expressed his pleasure over Guterres' visit and said this would enable UNHCR's members to get acquainted with efforts exerted by the Saudi Red Crescent Society. He also lauded the existing cooperation between the two institutions that resulted in establishing a number of development projects all over the world.
The society supports UNHCR efforts around the world namely assistance forwarded to the refuges of Tsunami and the Palestinian people.
