Shoura Council holds ordinary session

Presided over by its chairman, Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council held its 15th ordinary session in Riyadh today.At the outset of the meeting, bin Homaid told of the regular tours undertaken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of the kingdom's regions to lay the foundation stones of a number of new developmental projects or to follow-up the implementation of projects underway.bin Homaid emphasised the way the tour covered all parts of this vast country, which meant equality for all regions.Following the meeting, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Yahaya, the assistant secretary general of the Shoura Council, said the meeting then discussed a number of domestic items on its agenda including the amendment of article (4) of the bill on those coming on Hajj or Umrah entry visas, the traffic bill, the fines levied from the heirs of those convicted before death, financial market commission system, the phenomenon of military servicemen requesting to retire shortly after being recruited, a report on the participation of the Shoura Council in the Youth Parliamentarian Forum for Arab Japan dialogue held in Amman, Jordan recently and the 116th session of the International Parliamentary Union held in Bali, Indonesia recently.
