Agreement between Prince Sultan Charity Foundation and Gulf University

Riyadh, 22 June 07

Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Supreme President of Sultan bin Abdulaziz Charity Foundation, issued directives to renew the cooperation agreement between the Foundation and the Arabian Gulf University for another three years due the outstanding success which has been achieved by the agreement since its inception in 1416 AH.

This was announced by Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Charity Foundation, pointing out that the agreement succeeded over 12 years in laying the groundwork for the special education program in Arabian Gulf University, establishment of a specialized library of special education, contribution in rehabilitation working cadres in the field of disabled care as well as the development of the special education programs in the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arab Gulf States.

He said: "The agreement states that the Foundation will provide annual financial support for the University of one million Saudi Riyals in order to finance the Foundation's needs of special education. The university under this agreement will provide ten scholarships in special education for the three year duration of the agreement.
