Vaccination: only government hospitals to issue Meningitis certificates

Only the government hospitals of Pakistan will issue certificates of vaccination against Meningitis for the intending pilgrims and people traveling for Umrah or for any other reason to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, says an official statement.

The vaccine has to be administered at least 10 days before embarking on the journey.

Vaccination against Pneumococcal infection to people of 65 years of age and above who intend to visit Saudi Arabia has also been proposed.

In addition, persons of 15 years of age or below who intend to visit Saudi Arabia will be required to produce vaccination certificate against Polio.

For convenience of the people and credibility of the vaccine, it has been decided that only government hospitals and health institutions will issue the certificate of vaccination.
