Pilgrims arrival-schedule begins from October 21

The pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season will begin arriving on 10th Shawwal (October 21), according to Under Secretary at the Hajj Ministry Hatim Qadhi.

At least 1.5 million pilgrims are expected to arrive from abroad, according to a report of Arab News published today.

The five-day Hajj is tentatively set to begin on December 17, depending on when the full moon is sighted.

Arafat Day, which is the second day (the climax) of the Hajj, is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 18.
