Saudi Ambassador bids farewell to 1st batch of Indian Pilgrims

Saudi Ambassador to India Salih bin Mohamed Alghamdi along with Indian Foreign Minister Parnab Mukerjee and Chief Minister of New Delhi Sheila Dikshit attended here to today a farewell ceremony organized for the departure of the first batch of Indian Pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform this year's Hajj.

Addressing the ceremony at New Delhi airport, Parnab Mukerjee thanked the Saudi Government and people for their great efforts in serving pilgrims.

On his part, the Saudi Ambassador thanked the Indian Foreign Minister and wished all Indian pilgrims this year, an acceptable Hajj and a safe journey.

The persistent efforts being extended by Saudi Arabia to serve all pilgrims from across the World is a great honor for the Kingdom, he pointed out.
