Ministry Report on Health Services for pilgrims

Mina, Saudi Arabia, December 14, SPA -- The Ministry of Health recruited more than 9,000 personnel comprising doctors, technicians, para-medical and nursing staff as well as administrators to serve pilgrims and provide them with medical treatment services at various Hajj sites.

The ministry is working on providing pilot health services during Hajj season.

The Ministry provides its medical services to the pilgrims through 6 hospitals in Makkah with the capacity of 1,756 beds; 3 hospitals in Arafat with 629 beds; 4 hospitals in Mina with 660 beds; and 8 hospitals in Madinah with 1,206 beds.

It also provides services to the pilgrims through 145 health centers.

The Ministry prepared 7 hospitals and 84 health centers at the holy sites with advanced medical equipments. It also provided these hospitals and health centers with all medicines needed by the pilgrims in addition to providing 11,400 units of blood and its derivatives.
