Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz highlights the media coverage for Hajj

Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information, urged the Foreign Information Department, an affiliate of the Ministry of Culture and Information, to double efforts to provide the best services and facilities for foreign media representatives who have come to cover this year's Hajj.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Prince Turki also urged the local authorities to exert more efforts to create the appropriate circumstances for foreign media to practice their job of sending Hajj news and developments to their destinations.

He availed himself of this opportunity to welcome the thinkers, intellectuals and media representatives who participate in this year's Hajj.

The number of media bodies who showed interest to cover Hajj this year increased vastly compared with previous years, he said citing the European Agency for Press Photo, the 5th French channel, BBC TV news, BBC Broadcasting news, BBC TV London, Al-Huda English channel, ZDF German TV, British Islamic channel, Indian Television, Belgium TV, Al-Jazeerah Arabic channel and Al-Jazeerah English channel, Indian newspaper of Mad-hya, and CNN Network.

Concluding his statement, he underscored the importance of contact with the guests of the Ministry for Hajj to highlight the renaissance of the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.
