British Relief Body Official thanks Saudi King

Chairman of the Islamic Relief Organization in the United Kingdom Dr Hani al-Banna has thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his approval to support the project of canning the sacrificial meat, being carried out by the organization.

In a statement to SPA, he said the support of the project which is working in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) comes within the framework of the charitable projects being carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He noted that the IDB will hand over to the Organization sacrificial meat to transfer it to the special factory in Malaysia at the expense of the Organization.

Later, the canned meat will be distributed to the poor Muslims and the needy people in the various parts of the world.

Dr al-Banna said the cost of the project amounts to about $400,000 with the exception of the price of the sheep.

The organization is a non-governmental institution , established in 1984 in Birmingham, north of London, and it has offices throughout the world.
