Pilgrims leave Madinah for their countries
According to report released by the Hajj committee in Madinah, 624320 pilgrims arrived in Madinah up to Thursday, Jan 10, 2008. The number of the pilgrims who left the city amounted to 345526 while the number of the remaining pilgrims amounted to 278686.
The pilgrims in Madinah included 68433 Indonesians and 34938 Pakistanis.
On Thursday, 15201 pilgrims left Madinah via Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport aboard 47 international flights.
Up to Thursday 639 international flights were operated from Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport carrying 165220 pilgrims.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region, who is also the Chairman of the Hajj Committee in Madinah, has been following up the services being extended by the concerned authorities to the pilgrims.
