Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz chairs Hajj Supreme Committee meeting

Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior, Chairman of Hajj Supreme Committee chaired at his office here today the meeting of Hajj Supreme Committee.

The Committee is comprised of Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Prince Khalid al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Prince Abdulaziz bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, President General of Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Hajj, Minister of Economy and Planning, Minister of Culture and Information, Minister of Health, Minister of Transport, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Chairman of Control and Investigation Commission and Chairman of General Authority of Civil Aviation.

The meeting comes within the framework of the strategy of the Committee to continue its meetings on the affairs of pilgrims to follow up the implementation of plans and programmes for Hajj season for 1429H. It also comes to follow up the preparations of the governmental departments in light of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince to provide all services and best facilities for pilgrims.

The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the affairs of Hajj and the outcomes of the committees about the implementation of the remaining stages of the development of flood networks in each of Arafat and Mina, the roads that link between the Holy Sites and Makkah, security and living services on the highways between Makkah and Madinah in a way which ensures integrated services for pilgrims.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of electronic track to serve pilgrims who come from abroad in addition to other issues.
