Deputy Hajj Minister Hatim bin Hassan Qadhi has announced that a workshop on crowd control at the Jamrat Bridge will be held in the month of Dhu Al-Qa’da.

It will deal with the plans for marshalling the pilgrims according to time schedules for each Hajj mission. He said the plan will be based on the pronouncements of the Ulema and the principles of the Shar’ia as well as the religious bases of behavioural studies.

The behaviour of pilgrims will be scientifically studied according to their social conduct.

It is hoped that the application of these principles will help achieve the aims of the programme.

Qadhi said the participants will include the public service sector involved in the pilgrimage, especially those who are in contact with pilgrims at the Jamrat area. The programme will also include the responsible officials of the Tawafa establishments.

The special plan for crowd-control of the pilgrims on the Jamrat Bridge will be based on theological principles, efficient operations and according to the teachings of the Ulema, Qadhi said.
